Letter from the Photographer
There’s more to writing about
wildlife conservation than just rhetoric, it takes passion behind the words to
get one’s message across to readers and even then they may not understand. The
best way to get a reaction from readers is to use visual rhetoric in the form
of wildlife and nature photography. I could write 500 words on the plight of
big cats and still you may not see the cause, but if it’s accompanied by a
photo the whole issue comes directly into focus. As they say, a picture is
worth a thousand words.
I may not have the means to go
out in the field and photograph endangered species in exotic ecosystems, but
those wildlife I do photograph mean just as much to me. Hopefully, my photos
will enable you to stop and see beauty in an aspect of nature you never thought of
as beautiful before. Enjoy!
